Dragonfly Web Media featured in The Star newspaper

We're pleased to announce that the Irish Daily Star has printed details of our recent online survey! We featured as the lead story on page 2 of today's business section. The Irish Daily Star is Ireland's second most-read daily paper, with a readership of 401,000 people per day in 2007.

The article focussed on the high percentage (83%) of Irish web surfers that use the internet to make online online purchases. From the article:

Dragonfly Web Media spokesman Niall Fahy said that the figures underline the increasing importance of the internet to business owners as we move through the digital age.

"It's getting to the stage where fewer and fewer businesses can afford not to have a respectable web presence if they wish to remain competitive." said Fahy.

A further 85 percent of respondents said they equate the website of a business with its level of professionalism.

"This is reflective of the huge rise in broadband use, which has led to users expecting a better standard of website and visuals than in the days of dial-up," he said.
